President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has received the Minister for foreign affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov at Oqsaroy 22 December.

As the Head of our state noted, relations between Uzbekistan and Russia have developed in a durable and steady course.

Today, both countries cooperate in a trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Having expressed his sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for warm welcome, the Russian Minister stressed the pertinence of agreements reached in the framework of previous top-level meetings.

At the talks, the exchange of opinions took place with regard to bilateral cooperation development, as well as issues of mutual interest.
