DUSHANBE, November 23, 2009, Asia-Plus — The Moscow-based Tajik media holding, Tajinfo, has called on fellow-countrymen living and working in the Russian Federation to help construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in Tajikistan through acquiring its shares.

In its appeal, Tajinfo, in particular, notes that the country’s population and Tajiks living abroad have supported president’s appeal for support for the Roghun hydroelectricity project.

The media holding appeals to Tajiks working in Russia’s regions of Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkuts and Tyumen to support this initiative.

The Tajinfo top manager Muhammad Egamzod is confident that many successful entrepreneurs will decide to acquire Roghun HPP’s shares.  He also expressed hope that a number of measures to create civilized mechanism of issuance of shares of the Roghun HPP, providing transparency of this event, would be taken in Tajikistan in the near future.

Egamzod also pointed to the necessity of application of international laws or local legislation to ensure safety of funds of potential investors.
