(Russian Business Newspaper) reports, referring to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
Neither freezing of construction nor market trade problems have affected the volumes of this money flow; on contrary, it has even increased, the newspaper says.
According to figures provided by Russian central bank, 5.703 billion U.S. dollars have been withdrawn from Russia via different money transfer systems over the second quarter of this year, which is 801 million dollars more than in the first three months of 2009,

said, noting that China is in the 1st place in terms of money remittances from Russia.
“In May-June 2009, Russian nationals remitted US$120 million to China, while foreign citizens remitted US$414 million to China over the report period,” said the newspaper, “China is followed by Uzbekistan (US$477 million) and Tajikistan (US$392 million) stands in the third place.”
Among the top ten importer countries are also Ukraine (US$375 million), the United States (US$286 million), the United Kingdom (US$260 million), Switzerland (US$226 million), Kyrgyzstan (US$224 million), Armenia (US$215 million) and Turkey (US$211 million).
Compared to the first quarter, migrants’ remittances to the CIS states increased significantly in the second quarter: to Uzbekistan – from US$2092 million to US$477 million; to Tajikistan – from US$278 million to US$392 million; and to Ukraine – from US$267 million to US$375 million.
Remittances from Russia to the CIS states now account for 40 percent of the market – US$2.265 billion from US$5.7 billion, the newspaper said.
