Two micro projects implemented under support of KfW officially opened in Khatlon

DUSHANBE, July 31, 2009, Asia-Plus  — On Wednesday July 29, German Ambassador to Tajikistan, Ms. Doris Hertrampf, attended an official opening of two social micro projects that had been implemented in Khatlon province under financial support of the German Development Bank (KfW), according to the German Embassy in Dushanbe.

The micro projects, Construction of Education Building in the Village of Chinor in Shahritus District and Renovation of the Roof of School # 27 in the Village of Havaskor in Qabodiyon District, have been implemented in the framework of the program, Funds for Promotion of Development of Basic Education and Community Infrastructure.

The micro project in the Shahritus district was selected following an application by teachers from school # 26 in the village of Chinor.  Construction of a new education building created normal conditions for local children to get proper education.  The project also included construction of an autonomous heating system and improvement of the school yard.

The micro project in the Qabodiyon district was selected following an application by residents of the village of Havaskor.  The project included renovation of the roof of a two-story schoolhouse, gym and school canteen.
