DUSHANBE, June 12, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) have detained two drug dealers in Dushanbe.

Following the received information, the drug control officers found two packages containing 2 kilograms of heroin in a house of the 65-year-old resident of the Hissor district N.N. on June 10, according to the DCA press service.  Narcotics belonged to his son H.D, and his associate D.S.  The same day, H.D. and D.S. were arrested in Dushanbe.

The drug control officers found the trace of these drug dealers three months ago already.  We will recall that two officers from the counternarcotics agency were seriously wounded in an operation carried out in the village of Afghono in Roudaki district on March 10 this year.  The operation was carried out to arrest a group of drug dealers, but the drug dealers put up armed resistance and one of them threw a grenade at the officers.  As a result of explosion, two officers received serious shrapnel wounds.  The drug dealers managed to escape, however, the criminals were identified.
