DUSHANBE, February 22, 2011, Asia-Plus – President Emomali Rahmon yesterday sent a proposal on relieving Mirzoali Boltuyev of his post of chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) in connection with retirement to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), according to the presidential press service.

The head of state offered Shermuhammad Shohiyon, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, for chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda   

The president also proposed to relieve Mizrob Kabirov of his post of deputy chairman of the CCER in connection with transfer to other job.  President Rahmon offered Karomatullo Kholiqov, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Tajik National University, for the position of deputy chairman of the CCER.

It is also proposed to relieve Nizomiddin Zohidov and Saymurod Taghoyev of their positions of members of the CCER in connection with transfer to other jobs.       

Powers of the CCER member Bobojon Laqayev were terminated in connection with his death.

Saidboy Zokirov, chairman of Sughd Trade Unions, Rahmon Ziyo, deputy head of the Republic Center for Healthy Lifestyle at the Ministry of Health, and Nourali Saidov, secretary of the Public Council of Tajikistan, were proposed for positions of members of the CCER.
