KHUJAND, March 5, 2011, Asia-Plus — The Isfara coal enterprise, Angisht, which operates the Shurob coalfield, has begun to develop new areas.
The Angisht director general Bahrom Qosimov says development of those areas will allow increasing coal productions and creating new jobs.
“Over the first two months of this year, our enterprise has produced 4,774 tons of colas, which is 72 tons more than in the same period last year,” said Qosimov, “400 people now work for Angisht at an average monthly wage of 900-1000 somoni.”
According to him, the selling price of one ton of coal produced by Angisht fluctuates from 100 to 300 somoni, depending on its variety.
