KHUJAND, April 20, 2011, Asia-Plus — Rehabilitation of the vacation house, “Qairoqqum,” which is located on the bank of the Qairoqqum reservoir in Sughd province is nearing completion.
This vacation house, formerly belonging to the state unitary enterprise, Vostokredmet, has been handed over to the National bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
According to NBT’s branch in Khujand, the vacation house is now named “Bahoriston.” “200 people, including physicians, will work for this health resort and 350 will be able to have a rest and medical treatment in this health resort simultaneously,” said the source, “An official opening of the “Bahoriston” health resort is scheduled for May 15 on the occasion of Family Day.”
Qairoqqum Mayor Rajabboy Karimov says the central bank has spent 2 million U.S. dollars for rehabilitation of the health resort.
