, April 17, Asia-Plus – 22 alleged members of the outlawed extremist religious “Hizb ut-Tahrir” organization have been detained in
Tajikistan
since the beginning of the year, Interior Minister Khumdin Sharipov remarked at a news conference on April 17.
The minister says 70 copies of various subversive brochures and 400 leaflets have been confiscated in the republic over the mentioned period.
In total, more than 400 members of the “Hizb ut-Tahrir” organization have been detained in
Tajikistan
over the past five years, according to the minister.
