DUSHANBE, May 26, 2011, Asia-Plus — Mr. Peter Mikula, the new Country Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan will officially assume the office on May 27, 2011, press release issued by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan said.

The outgoing Country Director, Mr. Rudolf Schoch has completed his five-year stint and is now moving to South Caucasus to take over the role of the Regional Coordinator with the duty station in Tiflis (Georgia).

Mr. Peter Mikula brings in more than 20 years of management and leadership experience in humanitarian aid and development cooperation in many countries of the world. Previously he served for 6.5 years in the Swiss Cooperation Office in the Russian Federation as the Country Director, with a special focus on North Caucasus.

Within the last two weeks Mr. Peter Mikula has held a number of meetings with project partners and key government officials in order to have a better insight into the Swiss development program in Tajikistan.

Mr. Peter Mikula holds a Master’s degree in Pedagogical and Psychological sciences. He speaks English, German and French.
