DUSHANBE, June 15, 2011, Asia-Plus – In the course of his official visit to Astana President Rahmon met with the President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao.

According to the President’s press service, Tajik leader has highly evaluated the current condition of bilateral and multilateral Tajik-Chinese relations and called them to be confident.

President of China said that China is planning to grant 120 million yuans to Tajikistan this year in the frameworks of China’s support to Tajikistan’s socio-economic development.

China also suggested to conduct a series of jubilee events in 2012 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tajik-Chinese diplomatic relations.

President’s press service said that the sides have also discussed the issues of cooperation in such spheres as security, politics, defense, economy and trade, investments, energy, transport and communications and agrarian sector.

It has been agreed that Chinese Minister of Agriculture will visit Tajikistan in the nearest time to establish drip irrigation system in the country.
