QURGHON TEPPA, July 20, 2011, Asia-Plus — Mahmoudali Alimardonov, prosecutor of the Qurghon Teppa military garrison, offers to conscript university graduates as well.

Alimardonov remarked this at a news conference in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province on July 19.

According to him, at present mostly half-educated young men are conscripted.  “The low level of knowledge of conscripts adversely affects military service and quality of activities of military units,” said the Qurghon Teppa military prosecutor, “That is why I offer to conscript also university graduates, who will serve for lesser period of time, for eleven months.”
