DUSHANBE, July 13, 2011, Asia-Plus — On Tuesday July 12, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi accepted copy of credentials of Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Tajikistan Amjad Hussain Barkat Ali Sial, the Tajik MFA information department reports.
In the course of the talks, the sides discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan’s diplomat noted he would take efforts to make contribution to strengthening of good relations between the two nations.
The sides vowed to favor strengthening economic relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan and boost cooperation between business communities of the two countries, the source said.
The two agreed that further expansion of relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan directly depends on the situation in Afghanistan and pointed to the necessity of expanding cooperation in promoting establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan and reconstruction of its economy.
