KHUJAND, December 25, 2008, Asia-Plus — The AIDS center that was set up in Sughd’s Istaravshan district in the autumn has detected the first HIV case.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Sughd AIDS Center director Abdujalol Jabborov said that 10 medical workers work with the Istaravshan AIDS Center.
“In all, 780 residents of the Istaravshan district have undergone medical examination at the center to this date,” said Jabborov, “HIV sufferer detected by the Istarashan IADS Center has brought the total number of Istaravshan residents living with HIV to seven.”
