DUSHANBE, November 15, 2011, Asia-Plus – Activists of two pro-Kremlin youth groups have gathered near the Tajik Embassy in Moscow demanding the release of two pilots of Rolkan Investments Ltd who were detained and convicted in Tajikistan.
“Some 20-25 people gathered near the Embassy yesterday at about 12:00. Demonstrators said they are members of the youth group, Young Russia,” said the source. “They stayed outside the Embassy for nearly three hours demanding the release of two pilots of Rolkan Investments Ltd.”
According to him, the picket was held peacefully, without any disorders. On Saturday November 12, another group held a picket near the Embassy, the source added.
Meanwhile, information posted on the website of the pro-Kremlin youth organization, Mestnye (Natives) Movement of Young Political Ecologists, says that some 50 activists of Mestnye Movement of Young Political Ecologists and Young Russia gathered near the Tajik Embassy on November 14 at 12:00 demanding that Tajik authorities release Captain Vladimir Sadovnichiy and Captain Aleksey Rudenko that had been detained and convicted in Tajikistan “for an emergency landing.”
“Behavior of the Tajik authorities toward the pilots insults us and makes us indignant. It does not agree with concepts of good neighborly relations and we hope that apologies will be presented to Russia soon and the pilots will be released,” Tatiana Dmitriyeva, the leader of Mestnye Movement of Young Political Ecologists, said.
“Tajikistan is partner of Russia on all integration formats dedicated to serve as framework of the future Eurasian Union. Deterioration of relations with this country is the direct threat to prospects of integration,” the Young Russia leader Anton Demidov said.
