KULOB, February 15, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Specialists from the Kulob agency for environmental protection have begun to feed wildlife in mountain areas.

Because of heavy snowfalls many wild animals cannot find enough food and special feeding points have been set up for wild animals in reserves in Muminobod, Shouroobod, Khovaling and Baljuvon districts in the Kulob region of Khatlon province.

According to the Kulob agency for environmental protection, special feeding missions have been sent to the mountain areas.

“Thus, the first 450 kilograms of corn and 150 kilograms of cakes have already been sent to the feeding points,” the source said, adding that the action will last through March 3.
