10 veterans of the Great Patriotic War from Kulob were invited to celebrate the 67th anniversary of Victory in the Kulob battalion of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan.
This has become a good tradition, chairman of the Council of veterans of war and labor of Kulob Asadullo Kurbonov told AP. “They invite our veterans every year and take part in our celebrations as well,” he said.
Kurbonov said veterans will receive gifts from local authorities – 58 people will be awarded 600 Somoni on behalf of the President of the country, 100 from Kulob Mayor’s Office, 7 veterans will be congratulated by the Governor of Khatlon while local businessmen will organize special dinner parties for all veterans of war and labor.
