DUSHANBE, November 24, 2008, Asia-Plus – As of November 24, water levels at the reservoir powering the Norak hydroelectric power station (HPS) have been at the level of 890.71 meters above sea level, which is 3.19 meters lower than as of the same date of 2007, Nozir Yodgori, a spokesman for Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding, told Asia-Plus o Monday.
According to him, the current water inflow rate at the Norak reservoir is some 220 cubic meters per second.
By president’s instruction electricity rationing will not be introduced in Dushanbe this year, the spokesman said.
