DUSHANBE, June 12, 2012 Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon once again called on parents to pay more attention to education of their children.

According to the president’s official website, he stated this today morning while inaugurating a dormitory for the Presidential Lyceum in the northern city of Chkalovsk.

The head of state also ordered relevant public institutions to build an apartment building for the Presidential Lyceum teachers until September 1, 2013.

Tomorrow, President Rahmon is scheduled to visit the cities of Konibodom and Isfara.

In Konibodom, Rahmon will attend a meeting of regional administrators of Sughd province that will review the results of work done in the region over the past five months.

In Isfara, Emomali Rahmon will visit fruit-processing enterprises and attend the process of allotment of land parcels to vulnerable residents of the Mohpari Jamoat.

On June 14, Tajik leader will observe the final phase of a joint counterterrorism military exercise of member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

We will recall that some 2,000 troops from Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are participating in the drills, which have been dubbed Peace Mission-2012.  Officials said the exercises will focus on counterterrorism techniques.  The drills, planned to continue until June 14, are being held at the Chorukh-Dairon training ground, some 30 kilometers east of Khujand, the capital of Sughd province.
