DUSHANBE, July 3, 2012, Asia-Plus – The Ministry of Labor of Russian has offered the Russian Government to include labor migrants in the retirement system, Russian media sources report.
According to gazeta.ru, the ministry has sent to the government its version of reforming the retirement system, proposing to include migrant workers, professional workers and self-employed persons in the retirement system. They will have to pay fees based on the government-calculated cost of insurance year.
Pensionable service for men is reportedly 45 years and pensionable service for women is 40 years, Russian media sources said.
