DUSHANBE, September 1, 2012, Asia-Plus  — On Friday August 31, Abdullo Navjuvanov, formerly chief of the Interior Ministry inquest department, was appointed Deputy Minister of Interior, replacing Farhod Shodmonbekov.

In the 1990s, Abdullo Navjuvanov worked with law enforcement agencies in Gorno Badakhshan.  From 1999 to 2006, he was chief of the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in Gorno Badakhshan.  From 2006 to 2009, Navjuvanov headed the GBAO police directorate.

Fahrod Shodmonbekov was appointed to head the Interior Ministry director for material-technical procurement.
