DUSHANBE, February 27, Asia-Plus – A prosecutor’s office in the Shahritus district of Khatlon has instituted criminal proceedings against Qurbonqul Hoitova, resident of the village of Lubiyokor, who is suspected of having killed her husband.
According to information from the Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office, the woman allegedly stroke by sledge-hummer three times in the head of her husband Gulmurod Khudoyorov, who was sleeping in a state of drunkenness, and threw his body down in the irrigation canal.
The source says that if convicted, Qurbongul Hoitova could face from

to 15 years in prison under Article 104 of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code.
