KULOB, February 27, Asia-Plus – The Kulob-based non-government organization “Najoti Kudakon” (Saving of the Children) has opened psychologist’s office in the settlement of Vose, administrative center of the Vose district in Khatlon.  

Ms. Tatiana Rachkova, an official with the NGO “Najoti Kudakon”, has told Asia-Plus that a skilled specialist in psychology Zartorbi Tabarova is available to answer queries of the visitors of the office and provide assistance to them.  She gives free consultations to local residents on all problems, according to Tatiana Rachkova.  

According to the Asia-Plus interlocutor, a major part of the population in Vose has needs in psychological rehabilitation.  “Every year, several young women in the region commit suicide,” Ms. Rachkova said, adding that most of them were motivated by family and economic problems.

This year, the first victim of suicide in Khatlon was young woman from the Vose district and in the district’s administrative center itself, a man being in a state of intoxication killed his six-month son.
