DUSHANBE, June 13, Asia-Plus — Kazakhstan’s “Kazyna” Sustainable Development Foundation is currently studying an investment climate in Tajikistan and working out projects on priorities and main directions of cooperation, according to information from Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
The CCIS source says the CCI deputy chairman Odil Sangov met with senior representatives from the “Kazyna” Foundation in Dushanbe last Friday [June 9].
During the meeting representatives from the Kazakh foundation noted that the Kazakh side was keen on participating in the implementation of projects in the Tajik industrial sector.
“An exact sum of investments the foundation is going to invest in Tajikistan’s economics is not clear yet because we have just started studying the Tajik market,” representatives from the Kazyna sustainable development foundation
were quoted as saying.
ABOUT: The Kazyna Sustainable Development Foundation was established in March this year.
The Foundations groups the following sub-divisions: “Kazakhstan’s Development Bank”; “InvestFond”, National Investment Fund; National Insurance Corporation; Small Enterprise Development Foundation and “KazInvest”.
The Foundation’s aggregate authorized capital amounts to more than US$1 billion.
The Foundation’s sub-divisions have implemented 122 projects for total amount of US$2.695 million so far.
