DUSHANBE, August 4, Asia-Plus /Firdavs Murtazoyev/ — A republican youth festival of friendship is scheduled to be held in Dushanbe from August 18-19.  The theme for this two-day festival is “Initiative of Youth – Future of Tajikistan.”

According to information from the Youth Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, 240 delegates, including students, teachers, young scientists, and artistes, from all regions of the country have been invited to take part in the festival. 

The source says guests from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have also been invited to attend the youth festival in Dushanbe.   “On the sidelines of the festival, its participants also will visit the Hissor Fortress as well as large enterprises in the Tajik capital,” said the Asia-Plus interlocutor, “A concert with participation of known Tajik variety singers and musical groups from various regions of Tajikistan will be held at the Amphitheatre in Dushanbe.

The youth festival has been held in Tajikistan since 1997.
