DUSAHNBE, June 12 – Officers from the counternarcotics agency have discovered some one kilogram of heroin in an apartment in the center of Dushanbe.
Avaz Yuldoshev, a spokesman for the Drug Control Agency (DCA), told Asia-Plus that their officers found 306 containers with totaling some one kilogram of heroin yesterday, when they were searching an apartment in Dushanbe that was rented by a 46-year-old woman.
The drug control officers suppose the narcotics were prepared for internally smuggling into the Russian Federation.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under way.
