DUSHANBE, June 25, Asia-Plus – Youth Center for Reproductive Health has been opened in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district.
An official ceremony of opening of the Youth Center for Reproductive Health was held in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district on June 22.
Firouza Gulmirzoyeva, chairwoman of the youth, sports and tourism department for Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, told Asia-Plus that the center is aimed to youth improve access to reproductive health services.
According to her, the center has hotline to provide medical and psychotherapeutic assistance to youth.
Gulmirzoyeva said that opening of the center is timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the National Peace Accord that ended the 1992-1997 civil war in Tajikistan.
Representatives from the capital mayor’s office, youth committee and the Firdavsi district authorities attended the ceremony of opening of the center that was established under support of Tajik youth committee and international organization CARE International.
