DUSHANBE, July 19, Asia-Plus – Kabar — A regional two-day forum “Millennium Development Goals” for the states of CIS, North and Central Asia opened in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, today.
The forum, which have taken place under the aegis of UN, Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific with the support of the Asian development Bank (ADB) in cooperation with the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, is discussing issues of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), progress for improving the living conditions in the states of North and Central Asia.
The forum’s agenda includes numerous regional issues concerning environment protection, monitoring of millennium development goals, institutional problems.
The president and the prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of NGO, private sector and mass media are invited to the forum.
