Tajikistan’s admission to UNWTO to be considered at UNWTO General Assembly’s session in late November

DUSHANBE, November 14, Asia-Plus — Issues related to Tajikistan’s admission to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will be considered at a session of the UNTWO General Assembly that will open in Columbia on November 22, Bakhtiyor Hamdamov, the deputy head of the Committee for Youth’s Affairs, Sports and Tourism.   

According to him, delegates from 150 countries will take part the UNWTO General Assembly’s session in Columbia.  “Tajikistan will be admitted to the Organization if two-thirds of delegates vote for this,” Hamdamov said.   

A Tajik delegation led Maliksho Nematov, the head of the Committee for Youth’s Affairs, Sports and Tourism, will attend the UNWTO General Assembly’s session in Columbia, the deputy head said.  “At present the committee is preparing report, booklets, brochures and magazines about tourism and relevant industries in Tajikistan,” Hamdamov said.
