Tajik drug police chief dismissed

DUSHANBE, November 21, Asia-plus  — Chief of the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking has been dismissed. 

The Interior Ministry source said Major-General Fayzullo Gadoyev had been relieved of his post of chief of the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking in connection with transfer to other job.  

Fayzullo Gadoyev has worked with the Ministry of Interior of Interior since 1982.  Gadoyev had worked with the department for combating drug trafficking since 1995.  In September 2002, he was appointed to head this department. 

The ministry is currently considering candidacy suitable for heading this department, the source said.
