DUSHANBE, December 10, Asia-Plus — Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Turkmen counterpart, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov told a news conference in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on December 9 that they were satisfied with results of talks and signing of bilateral cooperation issues, Tajik presidential press service said.
According to them, it was evidence of expansion of cooperation between the two fraternal peoples.
Rahmon and Berdymukhammedov vowed to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Both sides noted that Tajikistan and Turkmenistan would actively cooperate actively within the framework of both regional and international organizations.
During the news conference it was noted that the Days of Tajik Culture would be held in Turkmenistan in 2008 and the Days of Turkmen Culture would be held in Tajikistan in 2009.
