DUSHANBE, March 1, Asia-Plus — A Febraury 29 board meeting of the Ministry of Education (MoE) summed up the results of work of primary vocational schools, Asia-plus has learned from Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for a MoE.
Speaking at the meeting, Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov pointed to the necessity of raising wage rates of teachers working with vocational schools, the spokesman said. According to him, the minister mainly addressed the vocational, which have experiential plots or production workshops. These schools could use incomes from those plots and workshops for raising teachers’ wages.
“The minister ordered heads of the vocational-technical schools with experimental plots to raise monthly wages of their teachers up to 500 somonis, and directors of the vocational-technical schools with workshops to raise monthly wages of their teachers up to 300 somonis,” Nouraliyev said, noting that the minister also ordered to organize beekeeping courses at the vocational schools located in mountain areas.
All vocational-technical schools functioning in the country are also to organize training courses potential migrants, the spokesman said.
According to the MoE, 67 different primary vocational schools now function in Tajikistan. Most of these schools have experimental plots or production workshops.
