Mayor of Seoul Oh Se-hoon visited Kazakh Economic University named by Ryskulov in Almaty today in the course of his official visit on July 15-18. The meeting with University teaching staff was held during the visit.
By decision of the Scientific Council the Seoul Mayor was awarded with the title of an Honorable Doctor of Economics of the Kazakh University. Ambassador of the South Korea to Kazakhstan Kim Il Su was handed over a certificate of honor.Seoul Mayor’s visit is a guarantee of future fruitful cooperation of the two cities and countries in the spheres of economy and education, said University”s rector Abi Abishev. “Korea is a successful and dynamically developing country with original culture and traditions and Seoul is the largest mega polis. The Mayor’s visit sets the pattern of development, expansion and strengthening of our countries’ friendly ties”, the rector highlighted.
As Oh Se-hoon noted, Kazakhstan is well known for its development rates and its nation’s strive for joining the club of 50 most developed states. “In my opinion, Kazakhstan today is a new star in the world economy”, he said.
