DUSHANBE, August 2, Asia-Plus — A regular session of the council of permanent representatives of member nations of the CIS to CIS authorized and other bodies will be held on August 5, Ms. Maria Gutsalo, a spokeswoman for the CIS Executive Committee, said.
According to her, the CIS experts will consider the preliminary draft agendas of sessions of the council of the CIS foreign ministers and the council of the CIS heads of government.
“23 issues related to humanitarian, security, and energy cooperation have been tabled to the draft agenda of the CIS foreign ministers’ session, due in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in early October so far,” said Gutsalo. “The council of the CIS heads of state is supposed to consider 18 issues and 36 issues have been tabled to the agenda of the session of the council of the CIS heads of government.”
The experts will also hear information about activity of the joint commission of member nations of the CIS agreement on combating illegal migration of March 6, 1998 and discuss a progress of implementation of the list of measures of the executive committee and the council of permanent representatives to implement the concept of further development of the CIS, the spokeswoman said.
