110 new facilities to be officially opened in Sughd ahead of Independence Day

 KHUAJND, August 26, 2008, Asia-Plus — 110 new facilities are expected to be officially opened in the northern Sughd province ahead of Tajikistan’s Independence Day, which is marked on September 9.  

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Sughd construction directorate head Nabijon Tohirov said that eleven of those facilities, including a monument of founder of the Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki, endocrinology clinic, multistory residential building, bank, a number of shopping centers and a building of the Theatre for Young Viewers, had been built in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province.  

 “Besides, nine facilities will be opened in the Bobojonghafurov district, 12 in Istaravshan, 8 in Spitamen, 13 in Zafarobod, 5 in Mastchoh, 20 in Asht, 2 in Shahriston. F in Qairoqqum, 3 in Isfara and 13 in Panjakent,” Tohirov said.
