DUSHANBE, August 26, 2008, Asia-Plus  — An official opening of the Ustod Roudaki Park (formerly Central Park in Dushanbe) was held in Dushanbe on August 25. 

President Emomali Rahmon, members of the government, parliamentarians and senior representatives of the Dushanbe mayor’s office as well as representative of diplomatic missions accredited in Tajikistan attended the park-opening ceremony.  

President Rahmon unveiled a memorial complex to founder of the Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki. 

More than 17 million somonis have been spent for rehabilitation of the park.  The rehabilitation work started in November last year.
