            DUSHANBE, September 1, Asia-Plus  — A total of more than 3,800 general schools in Tajikistan have opened their doors to students this academic year.

            On September 1, ceremonial line-ups were held in all general schools across the country and as usual, the new school year started with a Lesson of Peace.   

According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), this academic year, some 172,000 first-formers have gone to schools in Tajikistan.  A total number of secondary school students in Tajikistan is some 1.6 million. 

We will recall that last year, 177,693 first-formers went to schools in the country.
