DUSHANBE, September 2, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Days of Tajik Culture that were supposed to be held in Turkmenistan this month have been postponed till the next year, according to the Ministry of Culture (MoC).    

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Olimjon Soliyev, a lead specialist with the art department within thin a MoC, said that the event had been scheduled to be held in Ashgabat from September 22-28, however, the Turkmen side yesterday asked to postpone it till the next year in connection with numerous events to be held in Turkmenistan this month.  

 We will recall that an agreement on holding Days of Tajik Culture in Turkmenistan and Days of Turkmen Culture in Tajikistan (in 2009) was reached during a meeting of the presidents of the two countries in Dushanbe in October 2007.
