DUSHANBE, September 12, 2008, Asia-Plus — Bahriddin Azizov from Khatlon’s Bokhtar district has been detained in the district of Hissor, some 17 kilometers southwest of Dushanbe, on suspicion have been involved in drug pushing, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
Mahmadullo Asadulloyev, a spokesman for a MoI, told Asia-Plus on Friday that Azizov was detained in Hissor on September 11 and more than one kilogram of heroin was confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug pusher and an investigation is under way.
