KHUJAND, September 24, 2008, Asia-Plus — Deliveries of liquefied gas have been stopped to the Sughd province, where some 13 percent of public transport runs on liquefied gas.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Abdujalil Bobojonov, deputy head the Khujand transportation directorate, said that the liquefied-gas refueling stations have not worked in the province for some two weeks.
Eight liquefied-gas refueling stations currently operate in the city of Khujand and the Bobojonghafurov district.
The refueling stations’ owners say that the train with liquefied gas is expected to arrive in Khujand in the near future.
Liquefied gas is delivered to Tajikistan mainly from Turkmenistan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
