DUSHANBE, October 13, 2008, Asia-Plus — China’s Shan Dong San Xin (phonetically spelled) is seeking partners in Tajikistan, according to press service of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
On Friday October 10, the CCI head Sharif Said met with visiting Chinese delegation, led by Yong Xiang Lu, top manager of Shan Dong San Xin, the CCI press service said. The delegation members included representatives of banking, education and energy sectors from different cities of China.
Speaking at the meeting, Yong Xiang Lu said that the purpose of the visit is for the delegation to familiarize itself with Tajik enterprises and organizations that could become future partners. “Many Chinese entrepreneurs are successfully working in Tajikistan and other Chinese companies would also like to establish business cooperation with Tajik enterprises and invest in different branches of Tajikistan’s economy,” he was quoted as saying.
For his party, the CCI head noted that Tajik-Chinese bilateral economic relations have been developing dynamically and a number of mutually beneficial cooperation agreements had been signed between the two countries so far. Sharif Said outlined energy, mining, construction and agrarian sectors as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and China, the press service said.
