New Tajik ambassador to Afghanistan appointed

DUSHANBE, October 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — By president’s decree of October 13 Dr. Sharofiddin Imomov, formerly Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies and Written Heritage at the Academy of Sciences, was appointed as Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, according the Tajik MFA.

Imomov replaced Farhod Mahkamov in this position.  

Sharofiddin Imomov, 52, Doctor of Sciences in History.  He is specialists in history of Afghanistan.
