DUSHANBE, October 20, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Over the first nine months of this year, Tajikistan’s Higher Economic Court has considered more than 300 cases, the head of the Higher Economic Court Amrkhoja Ghoibnazarov announced at press conference in Dushanbe on October 20. 

According to him, the Higher Economic Court  considered 100 cases as the court of the first instance and 177 cases as the appeal court.  Besides, 18, cases have been considered by the Higher Economic Court’s board, Ghoibnazarov said. 

Over the report period, the court has exacted some 635,000 somoni in favor of claimants.

Ghoibnazarov stressed that in January-September, court had considered cases related mainly to protection of rights of state-run organizations.
