DUSHANBE, April 30, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Over the first thee months of this year, all categories of farms in Tajikistan have produced 24.931 million eggs, which is 2.7 times, or 15.698 million eggs, more than in the same period of last year, according to the directorate for cattle-raising, fishery, poultry and bee keeping within the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).

Over the report period, total number of poultry has also increased in the country and poultry farms now have totaling more than 1.018 million head of poultry, which is 282,000 head more than in January-March 2008, the source said.

We will recall that 18 poultry farms currently operate in Tajikistan.
