DUSHANBE, August 7, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The 34th session of the CIS Council for Cultural Cooperation is scheduled to take place in Dushanbe from August 10-12.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Anvar Yusupov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Culture (MoC), said that the meeting is aiming to discuss a draft concept of cultural cooperation between the CIS states and a concept of development of education in the fields of culture and art within the CIS area.

The meeting participants are also supposed to discuss the process of implementation of the plan of priorities of humanitarian cooperation for 2009-2010 that was endorsed by the council of the CIS heads of government on May 22, 2009, the spokesman said.
