Unemployment rate in Kazakhstan in July, 2009 reached 6.5 %, Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informed.
“The number of unemployed in July of 2009 amounted to 565.4 thousand people. Unemployment rate – 6.5 %. Officially, at the end of July, 2009, 98.9 thousand people have been registered in the employment centers of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan.
The share of the registered unemployed has been 1.2 % of the economically active population that is by 0.4 percentage more in comparison with the similar indicator of the last year.”
