DUSHANBE, September 5, 2009, Asia-Plus — On Friday September 4, Ulrtelecom’s cellular operator Utel providing telecommunications services in UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) standard offered an international roaming access service to its customers in Tajikistan, according to Utel’s press service.
Utel’s partner for roaming in Tajikistan is the Tajik cellular operator Babilon-Mobile.
Utel currently offers the international roaming access in 51 countries across the world, the press service said.
The Universal Mobile Telecommunications System is one of the third-generation (3G) mobile telecommunications technologies.
