Russian savings bank intends to start money transfer to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

DUSHANBE, November 2 2009, Asia-Plus  — Russia’s Sberbank (savings bank) intends to start money transfer to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan starting from the next year, Vesti.uz reported.

“Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are leaders in terms of remittances from Russia,” the head of the Sberbank the payment means and accounts department I. Lipanov said.

Russia’s Sberbank now carries out remittance transactions across the Russia Federation as well as in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, where it has its subsidiaries.
