DUSHANBE, November 21, 2009, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Dushanbe police directorate seized a large amount of heroin last Friday.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), an operation by Dushanbe police led to the arrest of suspected drug pusher Tolib Taghoyev, who has previous convictions for violence against police officers and involving in drug using.
A package containing some one kilogram of heroin was confiscated from him. Police officers found another four kilograms of heroin in house.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Taghoyev and an investigation is under way.
