DUSHANBE, November 26, Asia-Plus  — The Research Institute of Metallurgy at the Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO) and China’s Chalieco/Gami Shenyang, Aluminum & Magnesium Engineering & Research Institute (SAMI), signed a memorandum on development of economic and technical cooperation in Dushanbe yesterday, according to press release issued by TALCO.

Under this memorandum, the sides will cooperate on improvement of quality and safety of scientific-technical products in compliance with requirements of the ISO international standards.  They will also develop long-term agreements on the main directions of cooperation in the field of advanced technologies.

Chalieco is a subsidiary of Chalco, the most powerful and the only international engineering cooperation that has independent intellectual property rights and technology in Chinese aluminum industry.

Chinalco is an industry leader in processing nonferrous minerals.  It also conducts exploration and mining of minerals and provides engineering and technical services to the mining industry. Headquartered in Beijing, Chinalco and its subsidiaries have operations across 22 provinces in China and 15 overseas offices across 10 countries.
